Q. How much do you charge?

A. It is dependent upon the type of investigation service required. For research type work, such as attempting to locate the current address of an individual or company, we normally charge a fixed fee that is based upon the type of information you have about the person or organization. For any enquiries such as surveillance or witness interviewing we will charge by the hour. The hourly rate is per operative and should be remembered that at times we may require more than one operative to work on a case at the same time. A typical example of this is when we are required to follow someone. In the majority of cases we may require two or more operatives to maintain a covert position and not lose the target. Please note that you would be advised of any such requirements prior to our undertaking them.

Q. How and when do you require payment?

A. For fixed fee enquiries, we request a minimum of 50% of the fee be paid in advance with the remainder to be paid on completion of the investigation. Please note that we will not release the results of our investigations until we have received all outstanding funds.
For all other enquiries we estimate the overall cost of the investigation and again require a retainer based upon the estimation. Once we have used a majority of the retained funds we will inform you and if you wish to continue the investigation we will require further funds to be remitted to us. At present we do not accept credit cards and so we accept payment via cheque or electronic transfer or cash.

Q. How long does it take to locate someone?

A. Depending on the information you have, it is possible to complete this type of case within 10 days. We can supply an accurate timescale once we have all of the information about the case.

Q. What happens if you follow someone and lose them?

A. Unfortunately this can happen occasionally. Since we are not above the law, we do have to stick to the same rules as the general public. However, since we follow people regularly we are well versed in observations and the techniques required to successfully tail someone. Since we are charging by the hour for surveillance, you are paying for our time and so our charges will still apply for the time we are carrying out the surveillance.

Q. Do I get a written report?

A. All of our investigators must compile comprehensive notes. Once the investigation is complete these notes are then collated and a full report is written and presented to you together with any evidence obtained, e.g. photographs or video footage. If you do not wish a report to be sent to you (some clients prefer this for security reasons) we will securely store it until such a time that it is required. The reports can be emailed to you in standard or encrypted form; posted to you in paper or recordable media form; or faxed to you.
